About this material

PLA is a suitable material for making decorative products by means of FDM 3D printing. Because it solidifies faster than PETG, details come out better.

PLA is a biological plastic, it is extracted from corn starch or sugar cane. PLA is known for, for example, food packaging, disposable cutlery and tea bags. We advise not to use PLA for mechanical parts because this is a brittle material, PLA is also biodegradable and therefore less wear-resistant than PETG.

PLA does not have good resistance to UV and moisture, after prolonged use it slowly breaks down and the material becomes weaker.

The material deforms at approximately 60 ° C, so PLA is not suitable for products that must have a resistance to high temperatures.

Our FDM machines have a tolerance of ± 0.2 mm.

You should take into account that holes and close-fitting parts may therefore be smaller than the original design.

The delivery time per order depends on the selected production speed in the configurator (7, 5 or 3 business days). For large orders of tens, hundreds or thousands of pieces, please contact us.

PLA is a biological material, it becomes porous when exposed to UV and moisture. The material is biodegradable and therefore only suitable for interior decoration products.
With the standard option we make the products with a filling of 20%. This saves material costs and production time. The solid option means that we completely fill the model.

The difference between our standard and premium product is the layer thickness that is applied when producing the products. A smaller layer thickness makes details more visible and the model can feel smoother.


If you choose the standard option, your product will be FDM 3D printed in layers of 0.2mm. Our standard option is the most chosen option among our customers.

If you choose the premium option, your product FDM 3D will be printed in layers of 0.1mm. By reducing the layer height, the product feels smoother than the standard layer height of 0.2mm.
